Jeffrey Bezier, MD

Dr. Jeffrey L Bezier is a respected ophthalmologist, with a long career in medical retina care. Born in Wisconsin on April 2, 1956, Dr. Bezier now lends his expertise to the Coastal Eye Group in Coastal South Carolina, providing top-notch retinal care in both their Georgetown and Murrells Inlet offices.

His academic journey commenced at Princeton University, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree, Summa Cum Laude, in Biology, backed by a Four Year Army ROTC Scholarship. Following this, he attended the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York to obtain his Medical Degree.

Dr. Bezier's career path included an internship at Bryn Mawr Hospital and a residency at the esteemed Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia. Upon obtaining his Pennsylvania medical license and earning board certification from the American Board of Ophthalmology in May 1988, Dr. Bezier served as a Major in the U.S. Army Medical Corps, holding the position of Chief of Ophthalmology Service at Reynolds Army Community Hospital.

Beyond his military service, Dr. Bezier held a respected associate position with Dr. Daniel J. Nadler, and had a long-term association with the Laurel Eye Clinic. Today, his practice is housed within the Coastal Eye Group in South Carolina.

Dr. Bezier and wife, Donna L. (Akner) have five children and nineteen grandchildren. Dr. Bezier's career reflects not just his passion for ophthalmology, but also his commitment to delivering outstanding eye care to his patients.
