Dr. Doegg earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology and Psychology from the University of Georgia in Athens, Georgia, graduating Magna Cum Laude and as a member of Phi Beta Kappa, the nation’s most prestigious academic honor society. She went on to receive her Doctor of Medicine degree from the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) in 2017, where she was recognized for her dedication to leadership and service.
Following medical school, Dr. Doegg completed her internship at Brookwood Baptist Health in Birmingham, Alabama. She then pursued specialized training in ophthalmology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) Callahan Eye Hospital, one of the nation’s leading eye institutes. During her residency, she served as Chief Resident in 2021, demonstrating exceptional leadership and clinical excellence. She was also honored with the H. Rawling Pratt-Thomas Service Award for her commitment to patient care and service.
In addition to her clinical training, Dr. Doegg has participated in multiple ophthalmology research projects and has authored several publications in the field. Her strong academic foundation, leadership experience, and dedication to advancing eye care continue to shape her comprehensive, patient-focused approach to ophthalmology.

She is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, South Carolina Ophthalmology Society, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, and the American Medical Association, allowing her to stay current with the latest innovations in eye care and deliver exceptional patient outcomes.
