Lindsey Adams, OD

Dr. Lindsey Adams, O.D. is a comprehensive eye care specialist at Coastal Eye Group in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Dr. Adams is passionate about providing personalized care to address a broad range of vision needs, from routine eye exams to complex visual rehabilitation and post-operative management.

Dr. Adams recieved her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Anderson University, where she also minored in Chemistry. She then earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee, graduating in 2016. During her training, she gained extensive hands-on experience in various clinical settings, including externships at referral and surgical centers specializing in oculoplastics, retina, cataract surgery, LASIK, and glaucoma management.

Prior to joining Coastal Eye Group, Dr. Adams held a faculty position at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, Jones Eye Institute, where she not only provided patient care but also mentored residents and medical students. She was actively involved in didactic teaching, leading lectures and labs on topics such as optics, refraction, low vision, and specialty contact lenses. Her dedication to clinical education extended beyond the classroom, with hands-on guidance in clinics and labs to ensure comprehensive learning.

An active member of the American Optometric Association and the Arkansas Optometric Association, Dr. Adams has served on committees, participated in professional conventions, and taken on roles as a moderator and volunteer at industry events. She has also contributed to the optometric field through publications, including a case report on ocular complications post-cataract surgery.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Dr. Adams is committed to community service, having volunteered at vision screenings and neighborhood health centers, as well as coordinated clinical mission trips to Belize and Nicaragua with the Fellowship of Christian Optometrists. These experiences reflect her dedication to expanding eye care access both locally and globally.
