Lindsey Adams, OD

Dr. Lindsey Adams, O.D. is a comprehensive eye care provider at Coastal Eye Group in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

Dr. Adams is a South Carolina native from Spartanburg. She received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Anderson University, where she also minored in Chemistry. She then earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee, graduating in 2016. During her training, she gained extensive hands-on experience in various clinical settings, including externships at referral and surgical centers specializing in oculoplastics, retina, cataract surgery, LASIK, and glaucoma management.

Prior to joining Coastal Eye Group, Dr. Adams held faculty positions at both the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, Jones Eye Institute as well as University of Tennessee Health Science Center, Hamilton Eye Institute.

At both academic practices she provided comprehensive eye care while also remaining involved in the education of residents and medical students throughout their training.

While at Hamilton Eye Institute she spent five years as part of a research team at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. She provided eye care and evaluations as part of the St. Jude LIFE study where the team follows patients throughout their life, after completion of therapy.

She has also contributed to the eye care field through publications, including a case report on ocular complications after cataract surgery.

Outside of her time in the clinic Dr. Adams enjoys spending time with her husband and two dogs and exploring the grand strand.
